Grand Blanc loss to a defensively strong Novi team 8-2.  Grand Blanc Varsity out hit Novi 10 to 8 but could not recover from multiple errors offensively and defensively to take the lead.  Kendall Klochack got the start for Grand Blanc.  She allowed eight hits and eight runs over six innings, striking out six.  Kierstyn Muma and Ally Whitt all collected multiple hits for Grand Blanc. Whitt and Muma each collected two hits to lead us.  Justyce Gilliland showed strength and leadership in both games behind the plate as a 4 year starter.

Game 2 against Novi resulted in another loss despite a strong fight.  Grand Blanc lost 7-8 after falling down by four runs in the fourth inning. Several rallies were attempted but we fell short.  We scored three runs in the failed comeback on a walk by Maddie Vansaw in the fifth, a double by Kendall Klochack in the sixth, and a double by Kierstyn Muma and Mckenzie Simpson in the seventh.  Muma got the start for Grand Blanc Bobcats Varsity. She surrendered seven runs on seven hits over three innings, striking out one. Klochack threw three innings out of the bullpen.  Grand Blanc tallied 13 hits. Klochack, Maddy Bleicher, Ally Whitt, Muma, and LaNya Bates each collected multiple hits. Klochack went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Grand Blanc in hits.

 

Grand Blanc Varsity Softball is 2-2 with a double header Friday in Brighton.
