Ally Whitt comes up big for Grand Blanc with 5 RBIs to help with our 19-5 win over Franklin. Whitt showed timely hitting on Tuesday, driving in five Bobcats on three hits to cinch the lead. Whitt drove in runs on a single in the first, a sacrifice fly in the second, and a triple in the third. An early lead helped us to a victory. We scored on several errors, a walk by Madyson Roover, a walk by Maddy Bleicher, a single by Whitt, a single by Brie Broderick, and a single by LaNya Bates in the first inning. Also in the first inning, Kendall Klochack started a double play by gathering up a bunt, throwing to Roover at first, and then to home where Justyce Gilliland tagged a runner out. Gilliland showed strength and leadership behind the plate. Klochack surrendered five runs on five hits over five innings, striking out eight. We had 13 hits with Broderick, Whitt, and Bates each having multiple hits. Broderick went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead in hits.
Grand Blanc is now 2-0 with an upcoming double header Wednesday in Novi.
