The Girls track team competed at MHSAA Regionals at Davison on Friday, finishing 5th of 15 teams with 51 pts.
Junior Quiara Wheeler recorded the lone 1st place with a PR toss of 120’0 in the Disc to advance to the D1 State Finals. Joining her in the Disc as a Finals qualifier was Sr Gabby Rudolph with a runnerup toss of 109’06.
Soph Cherish Dean was the final Bobcat to qualify with a 2nd place run in the 300H with a time of 46.82.
Also scoring and earning medals were Spirit Brooks, 4th in the 300H at 48.87, Julia Mears was 5th in the Long Jump at 15’11, Fr Caitlin Rose was 5th in the 800m at 2:21.26, Julia Mears was 8th in the 100m, Rachelle Madison was 8th in the 200m and Carley Huelskamp was 8th in the High jump.
In relay action, the team of Dean, Mears, Brooks and Madison were 3rd in the 4×200 with time of 1:48.95. Nicole Smith, Taylor Clark, Jaeley Huelskamp and Cephia Kitchen were 6th in the 4×800 with a time of 10:16.33 , and in the 4×400 team of Dean, Brooks, Carley Huelskamp and Anna Harrison were 8th in 4:21.74.
